ERIE, Pa. – The Allegheny men's tennis team defeated Oberlin College 6-3 to stay undefeated in NCAC East play Saturday.
The afternoon saw the Gators get a complete team victory, as number 3-6 singles all earned victories after the number one and two singles slots uncharacteristically went 0-2. Frank Mosconi and Daniel Conroy both won in straight sets, while Charlie Murphy and Sam Stephenson both got wins in three sets helping Allegheny go 4-2 in individual play.
Patrick Cole and Stephenson teamed up to cruise in number one doubles (8-1), while Conroy and Alex Hurtuk fought hard for a 9-8 (4) win in number three doubles.
