GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny men's tennis team traveled to Greenville, Pa. Friday afternoon to take on the Tomcats of Thiel College. The Gators made quick work of the Tomcats, sweeping them for a 9-0 victory.
Allegheny cruised in the doubles competition, dropping just two games combined in three matches.
Patrick Cole set the tone for the singles competition with a 6-1, 6-0 victory in number one singles. Alex Hurtuk, Charlie Murphy, Frank Mosconi, Timothy O'Brien, and Tyler Miller all followed suit with victories of their own to help Allegheny to a 9-0 win.
The Gators improved to 8-6 overall, as they will be off until Wednesday, April 18 when they will host the Wolverines of Grove City.
